RED BLEND
Don’t sleep on Portuguese wine.
Portuguese wine has been flying under the radar for too long. It’s time to shine a spotlight on this region that, in our opinion, could give Bordeaux and Rioja a run for their money. Portugal has been making great wine since 2000 B.C. The wine here is steeped in tradition and there are so many indigenous grapes, we can’t count them here.
This wine features three grapes with big personalities. Touriga Nacional is known for its dark berry flavors, while Aragonês–also known as Tempranillo in Spain–lends a strong backbone of structure to the blend. Castelão, named after the parakeet, gives the wine a deep color and loud, fruity flavors.

Dry, singing with dark fruit, and possibly too easy to drink, this wine is a match made in heaven for heavy stews, barbecued lamb, or burger night.
